Edelman Recipients

EDELMAN RECIPIENTS 2019 - 2020

Abby McDermott, a rising Sophomore from Juneau, attends Carroll College pursuing a BSN.

Sammy McKnight, a rising Sophomore from Juneau, attends UAA pursuing a Bachelors in Health Sciences with plans to join the PharmD Program upon graduating.

Cailey Neary, from Juneau, is in her last year of a Master of Science in Nursing.  She will graduate from Yale University in 2020 as a family nurse practitioner.

Rizza Rodriguez, a rising sophomore from Ketchikan, attends Linfield College pursuing a BSN.

Jake Marnon from Juneau was selected as this year’s High School recipient.  Jake will attend Linfield College where he will begin his studies pursuing a nursing degree.

RETURNING EDELMANS 2019 - 2020

Elena Bryson a returning Edelman from Juneau, is a rising Junior at Linfield College pursuing a BSN.

Hanah Elizarde a returning Edelman from Juneau, is a rising Sophomore at Gonzaga University pursuing a BSN.

Nathan Ord a returning Edelman from Juneau, is entering his 4th year of medical school at University of Washington.

Gabby Worden a returning Edelman from Juneau, is entering her last year of Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Seattle University.

Cheyenne Siverly a returning Edelman from Juneau, is pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of Washington.


 

The Grace and Phil Edelman Scholarship was created to assist Southeast Alaska students seeking health sciences careers, and who have a strong desire to return to our region upon graduation. We are thrilled to award this significant scholarship to ten students for the 2019 - 2020 academic year. They were selected among an outstanding group of applicants. We were impressed by the remarkable credentials of this year's 33 applicants.
