Our Foundation

Bartlett Regional Hospital Foundation was formed in Juneau, Alaska, in 1992 and incorporated in 1994 under IRS code 501(c) (3). We are a non-profit fundraising organization dedicated to providing financial support to Bartlett Regional Hospital. Because our hospital is city-owned it has limited funding options.  Bartlett Foundation's goal is to close the funding gap for needed medical technology and resources to keep Southeast Alaska on the cutting edge of patient care, and to provide philanthropic support to our community now and in the future.

Through the Grace and Philip Edelman Endowment the Foundation awards Edelman Health Sciences Scholarship to Southeast Alaska students who are interested in pursuing health sciences careers. In this way, the Foundation works to increase access to healthcare in our community by supporting local students in their studies and encouraging their return to Southeast Alaska to practice their careers.
